An international storage manufacturer is completing construction of its new Western United States Regional Headquarters. The site will be home to a 420k sq.ft.facility, including 280k sq.ft. of space for product manufacturing and distribution. The plastic storage container manufacturer will also conduct product research and development on site for several of its divisions, including commercial LED technology, housewares and e-commerce.
UMP was chosen to provide the energy efficient cooling and ventilation systems for the new facility. As a local manufacturer with almost 40 years of experience addressing the challenges of cooling high heat loads, UMP was the perfect choice for deploying a high-quality, energy-efficient cooling and ventilation system.
The low profile, double inlet UMP-900 Series evaporative coolers, were fitted with 12” cross fluted evaporative media for 90% efficiency and with additional 2” pre-filters, the innovative design incorporated a unique system to provide cold water for the roof-mounted evaporative coolers. The unique water delivery system cuts at least 80% of the maintenance and 50% of the water normally wasted in standard evaporative coolers.
