Description: We are seeking to hire an individual to join our QC Department (on the floor) in performing inspections, recording and entering data collected. Additionally, this individual will maintain quality standards for manufactured and purchased parts by developing, training and enforcing QC standards.
Skills Required:
  • Proficient in First Article Inspections and performing Sampling Plan inspections for Acceptable Quality Levels and final product review.
  • Well versed in the use of quality precision tools such as; micrometers, tape measure, digital/dial calipers, gage blocks and gage pins.
  • Detail oriented, organized and thorough.
  • Dependable self-starter that is analytical.

Responsibilities:
  • Read, interpret, and review drawings.
  • Perform First Article Inspections in the areas of sheet metal fabrication, welding and powder coating.
  • Inspect incoming purchased parts, work in process or completed work to determine whether the work meets specifications and plan requirements.
  • Follow QC procedures for all non-conforming work.
  • Assist in documenting new procedures and creating work instructions as directed by QA.
  • Resolute and process minded.
  • Work with QA and managers to identify approaches and methods to improve overall quality.
  • Be aware of and comply with all relevant safety policy and procedures.
  • Maintain and process red tag items, CARs, NCAs, ECRs as directed by the QA.

Education and Experience:
  • HVAC work experience a plus.
  • Quality Control experience needed (preferred manufacturing experience).

Description: This position as Product Development Coordinator will involve working with the following departments: Quality Control, Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Establishing physical flat pattern sheet metal layouts and maintaining a consistent standard of manufactured sheet metal and structural parts for various AHU (Air Handing Unit) product lines.
  • Creating, reviewing and maintaining standardized AHU (Air Handling Unit) drawing packets and BOMs (Bill of Material) for use by all departments at UMP.
  • Obtaining and testing potential new manufactured and purchased components.
  • Developing new products in conjunction with the Sales Team and Management Team.
  • Creating ECR (Engineering Change Requests) for all changes made to existing AHU products as well as for the introduction of new products.
  • Must have knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing, work cell design, and methods of production.
  • Develop new and maintain existing files, spreadsheets and electronic tools for organization, selection and design of AHU components and units.
  • Project coordination of all projects under scope including regular follow-up, next steps, project file maintenance, and communication.

Responsibilities:
Sales Support:
  • Assist the Sales team in the interpreting of specifications and or sequence of operations to create a control package to meeting the customer’s needs. This may include meeting directly with customer/ engineer or even site visits. Design, drafting, reviewing, or revising:
  • Electrical Diagrams and Product Specifications for all product lines.
  • One-line Diagrams (Quote Level)

Purchasing Support:

  • Assist Customer Service personnel in problem solving & trouble shooting equipment. This may include making the call to ordering parts or going out to the site to make corrections if necessary.

Engineering Support:
  • Assist in Estimating, Design, R&D, Testing and Analysis as necessary.

Plant Support:
  • Assist in any special control needs for our own facility.
  • Assist as necessary in final hookup and testing of HVAC systems on the plant floor or in the field.
  • Be available for questions from the plant floor on project designs and best practice for installation.
  • Assist the Plant in making building and installing parts in a safe manner that is in line with codes and industry standards.
  • Assist with the installation and testing of HVAC systems.

Safety:
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining Safety Standards related to the installation and testing of HVAC related items in the plant.

Description: We are seeking to hire a knowledgeable, motivated and dependable Maintenance Technician to perform and coordinate preventative and reactive building and equipment maintenance. The right candidate will need to be safety-minded, able to work with 24v, 120v, 208v, 277v & 480 volt electricity and know motor controls. Must be able to troubleshoot and maintain various equipment, and/or be able to find the resources to keep things up and running. Equipment types vary from new and used fabricating shop equipment like: presses, coil lines, shears, powder coating paint booths and equipment, paint oven, paint conveyor line, forklifts, welders, CNC equipment, high definition plasma machine, spot welders, pem setters, tool sharpeners, overhead cranes, delivery trucks, pneumatics, hydraulics, air compressors, air conditioners, evaporative coolers, hand drills & grinders. Candidate must also be able to order, track and distribute tools and equipment.
Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines without sacrificing attention to Safety and detail.
  • Familiar with OSHA standards, requirements and regulations.
  • Full knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out.
  • Maintain and develop preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment.
  • Able to work on heavy sheet metal fabrication equipment.
  • Be able to do electrical and plumbing maintenance.
  • Be willing to be part of a Safety committee.
