Description: Commercial / Industrial HVAC Field Project Manager leads technicians who start up, repair and maintain HVAC equipment in commercial / industrial buildings. This manager routinely works directly with external service and install technicians. Presenting themself as a senior company representative, the Manager often communicates directly with customers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure accurate, timely communication of job or project status and requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervises and directs the technicians to effectively perform the functions of equipment commissioning, repair, installation, start-up, operation, warranty and more
  • Maintains communication with vendors and factory personnel concerning warranty issues, operational problems with products, premature failures and other issues as they apply to products and equipment sold and serviced by UMP
  • Reviews work orders, invoices and time reports for accuracy
  • Specifies and makes sure that required parts are ordered in timely fashion to meet work schedule deadlines
  • Keeps current with latest factory OEM training on UMP’s current products
  • Manages start-up and commissioning on projects; coordinates and directs technicians and/or installing contractors; performs pre-start-up inspections, then start-up and completes turnover of equipment to owner
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as required to meet UMP’s contractual obligations to its customers

Skills Required:
  • Excellent customer service, communication and relationship skills
  • Five years Management related experience
  • Exhibit an in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC and air conditioning systems with the ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits related to HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments
  • Good computer skills: knowledge of and proficiency in common office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook/Gmail and general software navigation
  • Have a clean, neat and professional appearance; a top performer who can instill pride of workmanship in themself and in others

Description: We are seeking to hire an individual to assist in developing and maintaining our Quality Management Systems. The Quality Management System relates to a range applications which may include but not be limited to:
  • Fabricated sheet metal components
  • Structural and sheet metal weldments
  • HVAC related components
  • Powder coat painting
  • Assembly of commercial air handling equipment

Qualities and skills required:
  • Effective at maintaining and enforcing standards in a firm, collaborative and positive manner
  • Detail oriented and well-organized
  • Effective at communicating/facilitating meetings
  • Articulate and knowledgeable in Quality Control industry standards
  • Efficient at using and learning new digital systems (word processing, spreadsheets, ERP)

Responsibilities:
  • • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventive Action management
  • Assembly/receiving/packaging process controls (checklists, testing, inspections, etc.)

  • Document control management
  • Supplier quality management (qualifying and reviewing)

  • FMEA/Quality Planning for new and existing product

Education and Experience:
  • • Mandatory Skills/Experience
    • 3+ years of Quality experience at any level
    • 1+ years in a Quality at a managerial, engineering or administrator level
    • Quality Control and Assurance experience including
    • Root cause investigation and Corrective and Preventive Action
    • Performing inspections
    • Dispositioning non-conforming materials
    • Developing and writing work instructions
    • Developing and writing quality control checklists
  • • Preferred Skills/Experience
    • Quality Control and Assurance experience
    • Developing and updating FMEAs and Quality Plans
    • Supplier management
