Responsibilities: Directs daily operations of the Service Department by successfully performing the following tasks, duties and responsibilities while meeting deadlines:
- Perform start-up, troubleshooting, operation, commissioning and warranty.
- Involved with vendors and factory personnel concerning warranty issues, operational problems with products, premature failures and other issues as they apply to products and equipment sold and serviced by UMP.
- Reviews work orders, invoices for accuracy.
- Manages and directs technicians and/or installing contractors, completes start up and commissioning of equipment to owner.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as required to meet UMP’s contractual obligations to its customers.
- Excellent customer service, communication and relationship skills.
- Management background.
- Minimum five years knowledge and experience of HVAC systems, Evaporative cooling. Extensive knowledge of schematics and controls related to HVAC systems.
- Detail oriented and organized to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments.
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook/Gmail and general software navigation.
- Have a clean, neat and professional appearance.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, conceptualize, and generate mechanical designs for new products.
- Create testing processes, test, and validate new designs.
- Produce working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration.
- Perform engineering calculations to support design work.
- Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using proprietary software.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering team members, and work with our vendors and contractors.
- Track and document design process and project development.
- Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget.
Qualificatons:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience working in engineering.
- Firm understanding of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products.
- Excellent math skills: ability to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problems.
- Experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Experience in HVAC.
- Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
- Must be self-motivated and a great team worker.
