Whenever you are considering a packaged central plant for your next data center it is important to evaluate the claims of the various manufacturers. There are some manufacturers who “guarantee” an efficiency on their plant; however, this guarantee comes with the condition that their can be no (or very few) modifications to the design of the modular chilled water system. So the “guaranteed” efficiency actually may not be as efficient (or as applicable as solution) as the end user could get if other modifications were allowed.
