Description: We are looking for a Programmer/Business Analyst who will be responsible for ongoing development, testing and maintenance of an in-house ERP system and various MS Excel based tools used for various business processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Creation, maintenance and modification of business tools, ERP and special reports.
  • Gathering and documenting user, process and functional requirements, developing technical plans and implementation.
  • Identify system problems and recommend solutions.
  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of the processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools to further company wide Lean Improvement program.
  • Ensure appropriate tools and processes are in place to have a development/ production environment that is reliable.
  • Grow with the company and its needs.

Skills Required:
  • Have a good understanding of database technologies & table structures. This includes strong SQL and SQL query syntax, MS Access and VBA skills.
  • Strong Excel skills with experience in development of tools with friendly UI, connections to external data sources, data manipulation, VBA script development and tool version control and end user training.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats (i.e. Business Analyst, Project Manager, Admin/Developer, trainer and tester) as required; skill to effectively analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers and vendors.

Experience Preferred:
  • Extensive experience in MS Access VBA, MS Excel VBA, MS SQL, Java.
  • Experience with MS-Dynamics, NetSuite or similar ERP development desirable.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP in a manufacturing environment required.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in related business discipline, technical discipline or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience as required for the specific job level.

Description: This position will involve working in the following areas:

Responsibilities:
Sales Support:
  • Assist the Sales team in the interpreting of specifications and or sequence of operations to create a control package to meeting the customer’s needs. This may include meeting directly with customer/ engineer or even site visits.
  • Design and drafting of Electrical Ladder Diagram for all product lines.
  • One line Diagrams (Quote Level)
  • Ladder Diagrams (Submittal Level)
  • Assist in As Built Diagrams (Post Production)
  • Design and drafting of one line Refrigeration systems
  • Design and possibly drafting of one line Hydronic systems
  • Defining Sequence of Operations

Purchasing Support:
  • Assist in locating hard to find parts or parts outside of the realm of purchasing departments knowledge.
  • Selection of components to create a base Bill of Materials for control packages.

Customer Support:
  • Assist Customer Service personnel in problem solving & trouble shooting equipment. This may include making the call to ordering parts or going out to the site to make corrections if necessary.

Engineering Support:
  • Assist in R&D as necessary.

Plant Support:
  • Assist in any special control needs for our own facility.
  • Assist as necessary in final hookup and testing of control systems on the plant floor or in the field.
  • Be available for questions from the plant floor on project designs and best practice for installation.
  • Assist the Plant in making building and installing our controls in a safe manner that is in line with codes and industry standards.
  • Assist with the installation and testing of systems.

Safety:
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining Safety Standards related to the installation and testing of controls in the plant.

Skills Required:
  • Natural spatial visualization ability
  • Adobe programs
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Self learner
  • Fact finder
  • Naturally curious

Experience Preferred:
  • HVAC control experience
  • HVAC field maintenance & installation experience
  • Electrical Engineering: contractor, maintenance or installation experience, a plus
  • Mechanical Engineering or contractor experience, a plus
