Description: We are looking for a Solidworks drafter/designer who can work alongside a senior Designer and assist in producing production drawings for Air Handling units. This job would involve designing and detailing HVAC equipment from initial layout to the finished product. This person would assist with troubleshooting and problem solving for existing units by working directly with the Production Manager and shop floor production team.
Responsibilities:
  • Solidworks drafting
  • Set up drawing packages
  • Create, document and maintain drawing standards and templates
  • Troubleshoot design problems
  • Work with plant personnel to improve design and assembly process
  • Create CNC code for manufacturing equipment (specialty software)
  • Back up support to Engineering and Internal Technical Support

Skills Required:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient at Solidworks drafting
  • AutoCAD 2D background required
  • Sheet metal design and CAM programming - a plus
  • AutoCAD LISP Programming experience - a plus
  • Revit experience - a plus
  • Google SketchUp experience - a plus
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Work effectively with limited direction as well as the ability to work in a team environment
  • Good communication skills

Experience Preferred:
  • 2 years minimum in mechanical or manufacturing background is preferred

  • Continuous improvement of processes.

Skills Required:
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Thorough verbal and writing communication
  • Planning and detail-oriented
  • Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately in a fast paced environment
  • Experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Above average Microsoft Office Program knowledge and experience
  • Google application experience a plus
  • Previous production planning, transport, logistics, accounting or supply chain experience a plus

  • Hours can be flexible with start and end time for an 8.5 hour (30 min lunch) shift during these hours.
