United Metal Products® recently provided Energy Recovery UnitsTM (ERU) for a large military medical facility that trains some of the country’s brightest and best medical professionals. The application required that the engineers design the individual units to have a 112,000 CFM capacity, be equipped with sound attenuators, and heat recovery wheels. United Metal Products® came up with a concept and design that provided financial savings to the contractor and the building owner. Each of the units was 2500 square feet, but United Metal was able to design them to be demountable which eliminated the need for onsite build up. The demountable design also ensured that the construction was in accordance with United Metal Products® high manufacturing standards. Below is a picture of the units:
