DC-IRA™

Indirect Return Air (IDEC Technology)

The DC-IRA™ (Indirect Return Air - IDEC Techonology) is the industry standard for indirect evaporative cooling in data centers. The DC-IRA™ takes advantage of the energy efficient technology of evaporative cooling without introducing any outside air into the data halls. This is good news for data center owners, contractors, and consulting engineers. UMP has standardized the DC-IRA. By standardizing the indirect cooling design in the DC-IRA, UMP has opened up this energy efficient cooling solution for all types of data centers from smaller 100kw applications all the way up to the enterprise and colocation facilities with 25+ MW of load.
This energy saving cooling system has been specifically designed for the higher allowable inlet supply temperatures to the servers that is being applied in today’s Data Centers (ASHRAE TC 9.9). As Enterprise Data Centers, Co-location facilities and other mission critical facilities apply this technology they are strategically reducing their overall OPEX as well as significantly lowering their PUE all without introducing outside air into the data center.
